Are you an AFRA member?

Yes, our company is a member of the Australian Furniture Removals Association. This is the premier organization in the country for removalists. Our staff underwent training and passed the assessment tests conducted by an AFRA Preferred RTO (Registered Training Organisation).

How much will your service cost me?

It depends on what services you will avail of. We offer a variety of them, such as:

  • Packing
  • Packaging materials
  • Transport/Furniture removals
  • Interstate removals
  • Local or same-city removals
  • Storage facility services
  • Insurance option

We encourage interested customers to contact us for a quote. Tell us which services you need so that we can give you a more accurate cost estimate.

Do you charge by the hour, or do you have fixed prices?

It’s a combination of both. We have fixed starting prices for our services, but the fees will increase based on the number of hours the staff is at work.

Other considerations for prices:

The size of the original house or apartment of the customer will also factor in the costing. The bigger the house is, the more furniture there is to be packed and loaded into our vans. We therefore have to charge accordingly to compensate the labour of our staff.

Unavoidable factors that cause delay will be considered (ex: traffic, on certain occasions) while counting the number of hours.

Do you cater to Interstate removals?

Yes, we do. We have branches/offices in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane, but we can cater to relocations anywhere in the country.

Is packing service included in the price?

No, it is not. As stated above, packing service is just one of the services we offer, and we leave it up to the customers to decide if they want to avail of it or not. If they say yes to packing, then we will perform the service and bring along quality packaging materials.

What is the SOP for packing?

Our staff will first look over the entire house and quickly make a plan on which rooms will be cleared out first, which furniture will have to be covered or padded, and which materials will be needed for packing and boxing.

Customers are encouraged to be present during packing so that they may advise our staff on which items must be left behind, which ones need particular care in handling, and so forth. They can also ensure that nothing they own will be left out.

Once the packing and boxing is done, customers will be asked to sign a document confirming the fulfilment of the packing service to their satisfaction. The drivers can then begin the trip to the new place soon after.

Can you take care of antiques, too?

Our staff is trained and skilled in handling delicate and valuable goods, antiques included. Rest assured, our staff will be able to pack them properly, use the appropriate covering materials if necessary, and position them safely inside the van. Of course, if our customers will have specific instructions regarding their valuables, we will take them into consideration.

What about unpacking and reassembling?

This will depend on whether or not unpacking and reassembling has been included in the quotation. We advise interested customers to consider this possibility and mention it to our staff while both parties are still discussing the services that will be included in the contract. Our staff will not be obligated to stay and help reassemble furniture as this provision isn’t mentioned in the signed contract.

Will the company shoulder damages to furniture?

This depends on several things. If the customer opted to pay for travel insurance needed to cover their possessions while in transit, then we will provide compensation as mandated in the insurance policy (for valid situations only, per the policy).

If, however, the customer chose to forgo the insurance policy, we will not be able to provide compensation for damages while in-transit.

Also, if the customer chooses to forgo our packing service and will do the job themselves, our company will not be liable for damages incurred due to his/her faulty methods of packing and boxing (ex: perfume leaking into important documents, figurines breaking due to lack of padding inside the box).

What types of insurance do you offer?

We offer travel or cargo insurance, which will cover damages t goods while loading, unloading, and travelling.

We will also provide customers with liability insurance. This covers damages caused by accidents while still in the customers’ premises. If our staff accidentally knocks over a can of paint on the floor, for example, we will shoulder the expense for the removal or repair of the marred portion.

Will you dispatch more than one moving van to a single customer?

If another vehicle is needed to accommodate all the possessions of the customer, we will provide a second or third vehicle for transport. The additions will also be reflected on the final costing, of course.

Do you cater to evening and weekend relocations?

Yes, it is not a problem for us to help you relocate in the evening or during the weekends. We only advise that you book our services ahead of time. As early as three weeks ahead would be ideal since weekends are our busiest and most in-demand days.

Storage FAQ

Do you have to be a removals customer in order to rent a storage space?

No, it is not required that customers hire us for furniture removals in order to rent one a space in our storage facility. As long as there are available units or rooms in our facility we can prepare them for any paying customer.

How long can I store my stuff?

You can store your furniture and other goods for as long as you want. We can arrange your rent and corresponding fees on a weekly or monthly basis.

Are there any restrictions for storage?

The rules we implement in our facilities are based on the legislation for storage in Australia. Since we are classified as self storage, we cannot permit storage of weapons and ammunition (firearms storage), perishables (cold storage), or any form of volatile substances (if mining waste materials, those can only go to tailings storage).

Our facility restricts storage of the following:

  • Flammable substances
  • Liquids
  • Aerosols
  • Cleaning liquids
  • Pets
  • Plants
  • Corrosive items

How large are the storage units?

We have different sizes of storage units available.
